Cakasa (Nigeria) Company Limited was incorporated in 1974 to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to the Nigerian oil, gas, and industrial infrastructural clients. A trailblazer in the country’s oil and gas sector, Cakasa was one of the first indigenous companies to be ISO 9001:2000 certified.

In 2002 the Engineering and Technical Services Division (ETSD) was established. Thereafter ETSD progressed into full scale Engineering and Project Management Services in 2002 following a strategic alliance with Fluor Corporation of USA.

In 2015, the Engineering and Technical Services Division (ETSD) of CNC was incorporated as Cakasa Engineering Services Limited (CESL).
