Savcor Oy(part of Trimble Group)

During 2017 Trimble expanded forestry business operations in Finland with the acquisition Savcor Oy, based in Mikkeli and Espoo, and Silvadata Oy in Espoo.
The three Finnish are now combined into a single entity under the name Trimble Forestry Europe Oy, and our brand is now unified worldwide as Trimble Forestry.

Savcor Oy is now part of Trimble’s Forestry Division that offers land, forest and fibre management solutions. Systems improve the productivity and operations for some of the world’s most recognized integrated forest product companies, forest land owners, timberland investment, conservation, state and federal departments as well as international food processing companies involved in environmental, social and economic land management.

At Savcor, our key intellectual property is related to the material technology supported by extensive know-how in information technology. Recently, our thorough understanding of the behavior of material has been successfully expanded to the laser applications in micro machining used e.g. in advanced automated assembly processes. Savcor’s deep theoretical knowledge has been used in finding solutions to the diverse problems of our clients in multiple industries.

One of our original key customers is the forest industry where Savcor with its products and services covers the complete value chain from forestry to harvesting and further to mechanical wood processing or to pulping and paper manufacturing including the packaging industry. For more than 30 years Savcor has been providing innovative solutions to critical material problems of the forest industry, now, including the services in process performance analysis and production optimization.
