Tamilnad Network of Positive People

Tamilnad Network of Positive People (TNP+) is a voluntary organization founded in the year 1995 by Thiru. Rama Pandian, a person successfully living with HIV/AIDS. Since 1994 working for the promotion of Health, Education and Development of most needy and marginalized communities. When HIV was considered a dreaded disease with a significant stigma and discrimination attached to it, TNP+ was established in 1994 and registered as a trust in 1995. Since its inception, the network has been a source of solace for thousands of People Living with HIV (PLHIV).

Treatment, Care, and Support constitute the primary areas in which TNP+ has been actively involved. Through Community Care Centres (CCC) and Drop-in Centres (DIC), PLHIVs are guided to make informed decisions regarding treatment and its adherence. TNP+ is also actively engaged in capacity building for PLHIVs by mobilizing internal resources. Currently, TNP+, along with 32 networks across the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, collaborates on the Vihaan project to work for the well-being of PLHIVs.
