PATH Foundation Philippines, Inc. is a private, charitable organization whose vision and mission are focused on alleviating poverty, improving health, conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable development. PFPI, which has established presence in the Philippines and some parts of the world, brings in more than 25 years of experience in development areas such as population, health, and natural resource management. Foremost among PFPI’s contributions to development work is facilitating stakeholder engagement, building alliances and partnerships between and among communities, local government units, private sector groups, and civil society organizations to achieve a common development goal. PFPI’s menu of competence includes policy advocacy, capacity building, gender and development and behavior change communication. Since 1992, PFPI has implemented various projects supported by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the United States Agency for International Development, the United Nations Population Fund, the Asian Development Bank, the Embassy of the Netherlands in the Philippines, and the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health. A number of its projects have focused on coastal resource management and marine biodiversity conservation.
