The German Foundation for Organ Transplantation (DSO)

The German Foundation for Organ Transplantation (DSO) is the nationwide coordination center for organ donation. Your task is the comprehensive promotion of organ donation and transplantation in Germany.

The DSO has set itself the goal of enabling all patients as soon as possible the necessary transplant. The DSO is solely responsible for the coordination of post-mortem organ donation.

Currently, kidney, heart, liver, lungs, pancreas and small intestine can be donated after death. These organs are among the switching duty organs. Your donation, retrieval, exchange and transfer is subject to the provisions of the German Transplantation Act.
