Initiative for Relief and Climate Action

Initiative for Relief and Climate Action (IRCA) is a registered non-profit local NGO operational in Southwest state of Somalia to address humanitarian and climate-related challenges. IRCA promotes environmental sustainability, climate-smart livelihoods, and improved access to WASH, health, education, and protection services, particularly in vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities of Southern Somalia. Its programs ranging from emergency relief to food security, agriculture, and climate change mitigation apply participatory, community-centered, and strategy-aligned approaches to foster resilience, dignity, and self-reliance.

To see climate resilient Somali communities with equitable Solutions to climate change with improved resilience and having sustainable means of livelihood.

Mission

To engage extensively on a multi-faceted sustainable development programs and Climate Change Action-related activities that would help bridge poverty gap, mitigate Climate Change, and empower communities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic sustainable development in Somalia.
