About
The Centre for Community Health and Development (COHED) was established in December 2002 by Mrs. Dao Thi Mai Hoa and officially began operations in 2003. As a Vietnamese based non-profit organization, COHED works throughout the country to improve the lives of Vietnam’s most vulnerable communities and individuals.
COHED originally worked at a national and grassroots level to contribute to the nation’s effort in addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic and promoting sustainable poverty reduction in Vietnam.
Today, COHED’s remit of expertise has broadened. It now includes health education, capacity-building and gender empowerment for comprehensive community development focusing on sustainable livelihood improvement, especially community-based tourism, climate change adaptation and mitigation, research and policy advocacy.
