With the acquisition of Lahmeyer International in 2014, Tractebel consolidated its position as one of the most important engineering players for energy, water and infrastructure projects in India. Our local team of more than 500 experts is based in four regional offices strategically located across the country, allowing us to provide high-quality engineering and consulting services to our private and public clients, no matter where their projects are.

Tractebel traces its activities in India back to the acquisition of Lahmeyer International, founded in India in 1993, and the establishment of Tractebel Engineers and Constructors Pvt Ltd. in 2000. The two companies have pooled their resources and expertise and continued to operate under the Tractebel’s brand.

With more than 20 years of experience in India, Tractebel provides engineering consultancy services for power, gas and infrastructure projects. The company has executed many successful projects for public and private clients including multinational institutions, EPC contractors, government agencies and a variety of other organisations.
