Elmeridge Cables Ltd started business in May 1987.

Elmeridge quickly established itself in the European Market place working for some market leaders in cable manufacturing. Such as Lynenewerk, Felten & Guilleaume, Ericsson, Norsk Kabel and Wagner just to mention a few.

Elmeridge also worked with many smaller manufacturers.

Working together with the smaller manufacturing companies Elmeridge could see major benefits very quickly. Working with their technical input, Elmeridge’s knowledge of special cables and how they were made grew very quickly. This knowledge of our combined capabilities was passed on to our customers.

Working with smaller manufacturers Elmeridge was able to identify exactly what the customer needed and have it produced to a high standard. Ensuring the orders were delivered on time and to the correct specification. This is also due to the ease and flexibility of working with a smaller manufacturer.

As the larger manufacturers closed or were purchased by larger companies and become less flexible in their needs and demands. It became necessary for Elmeridge to strengthen its manufacturing with a small family- run business in Italy. Producing a very varied mix of special cables, in various different compounds and armours to a very high standard.

Today Elmeridge has a very strong customer base, working in some very special markets. It has a particularly high profile in the special subsea market.

Our main aim is to work with various compounds, different types of armouring, (such as double or triple armour), plus cables at different depths underwater (including floating cables, sinking cables, and neutrally buoyant cables). We offer our customers short lengths normally 500 meters is our standard minimum quantity. We also take larger orders on a call- off basis or what we call rolling stock. This is to protect our manufacturer and to assist with material stock and cash-flow, and also to help the customer by ensuring regular supply on stock.

Elmeridge operates a Quality Management System to BSI ISO9001: 2008 which is approved each year. In the last 20 years Elmeridge has been responsible for thousands of new design in the special cables market. Working with market leaders in many different sectors, including Subsea, Radar, Medical, Railways, Mines, and Ships Wiring: our customer base extends worldwide.
