SAFEGE started operating in Armenia in 2012, after the Group was awarded the contract for engineering and project management consultancy services for the North-South Road Corridor Investment Programme. This huge infrastructure project – currently the biggest in the country - aims to create a modern highway linking the north and the south of the country in a scheme that should measure up to the highest international standards and facilitate access to international markets.SAFEGE is also providing engineering services for the project titled " Modernization of Bagratashen, Bavra and Gogavan Border Crossing Points of the Republic of Armenia" (MBBG), a contract signed in February 2013, whose general objective is to support the Armenian government in creating a network of state-of-the-art border crossing points to promote trade and business, allow people to move safely and more easily and facilitate freight transport.SAFEGE (as part of a SACO-SAFEGE/COWI consortium) is also supporting the EU Delegation to Armenia in promoting budget support activities within the framework of public financial management and efforts to improve transparency.
