Nouvel Elan ONG

Nouvel Elan is a Non-Governmental Organization that pursues the following objectives:

improve the living conditions of underprivileged children and women in Benin.
Work for the emancipation of women.
promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, management and leadership among young people, women and artisans in order to strengthen their participation in local development.

Our Activities
The NGO Nouvel Elan carries out several activities.
In terms of child protection, we carry out the following actions:
• promotion of schooling and keeping children in school.
• information and awareness of children on their rights and duties and the need for those who are in school to finish their schooling.
• organization of animation, listening and monitoring sessions for children.
• vocational training for children over 14 who no longer have skills that could encourage their schooling.
• capacity building of public primary schools for the reception and keeping of children in school.
• organization of reinforcement and upgrading courses for school children and functional literacy courses for apprentices.

In terms of the promotion of women, we are developing the following actions:
• strengthening the economic and financial capacities of women from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• raising awareness among women about their rights and the various mechanisms and means of recourse in the event of a violation of their rights.
• promotion of women's associations for the defense of their rights.

Nouvel Elan also works to boost the local economy. To this end, our actions are oriented towards:
• strengthening the management capacities of artisans.
• providing material support to youth and women's production groups.
