About

For more than 40 years, CESE has worked in the promotion, defense and guarantee of rights in Brazil. It does this because it knows that inequality and injustice persist.

Set up by Christian Churches, CESE's mission is to strengthen civil society organizations, particularly grassroots ones, that are engaged in struggles for political, economic and social transformations that lead to the structures within which democracy and justice can prevail.

Currently it is composed of the following churches:

Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil ( Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil: IECLB)
Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil ( Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil:  IPIB)
Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil ( Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil:  IEAB)
United Presbyterian Church of Brazil ( Presbyterian Church United of Brazil:  IPUB)
Roman Catholic Apostolic Church ( Roman Catholic Church:  ICAR )  ( National  Conference of  Bishops  of  Brazil -  National Conference of Bishops of Brazil : CNBB)
Alliance of Baptists in Brazil ( Alliance of Baptists of Brazil : ABB)
