Northern Electricity Development and Investment Joint Stock Company No. 2 invests in, constructs, and operates hydropower projects in Vietnam. It also operates as a design consultant for civil, industrial, transport, irrigation, electricity, and hydroelectric power projects; and construction contractor for civil, industrial, electrical, telecommunication, hydro, road, airport, port, bridge, building, infrastructure, urban and industrial, transmission line, and substation projects, as well as constructs ground leveling foundations, and ground handling and water supply projects. In addition, the company leases houses and offices; produces, trades, imports, and exports machinery and equipment for construction and construction materials; installs piping and pressure systems; and provides refrigeration and interior decoration services. Further, it is involved in restaurant, hotel, eco-tourism, and recreation businesses; and exploitation and production of building materials, such as stone, sand, and gravel. The company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Lao Cai, Vietnam.
