TUBITAK BILGEM

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM (Informatics and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center) is a national R&D Center. It operates in the fields of informatics, information security and advanced electronic technologies by establishing strategic partnerships with public institutions and the private sector. Its aim is to develop original, national and high value-added technologies and products that will sustain our country's competitive power. It carries out its work in TÜBİTAK campuses in Gebze and Ankara.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM conducts scientific and technological research at international standards with its knowledge and experience of over 40 years, more than 2,100 competent employees and six research institutes.

BİLGEM, one of the most competent and largest R&D centers in Turkey; carries out projects and develops products in order to ensure the technological independence of our country in the fields of informatics and information security. It carries out many international projects, especially European Union (EU) projects.

There are six research institutes within TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, which develops products and solutions in critical activity areas that require scientific infrastructure and technological depth, from cryptology to blockchain technologies, from artificial intelligence technologies to digital transformation processes, from underwater defense systems to electronic warfare solutions:

- National Electronics and Cryptology Research Institute (UEKAE),
- Information Technologies Institute (BTE),
- Advanced Technologies Research Institute (İLTAREN),
- Cyber Security Institute (SGE),
- Software Technologies Research Institute (YTE),
- Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (YZE).
