Mara Farming

Mara Farming is a vegetable and fruit producer from the African continent which was founded in 2013 by a group of people who had many years of experience in this trade with the main aim of eliminating the traders in between farmers and the final markets.

Through partnerships in Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia and with its main operations in Kenya, Mara is able to supply its international clients year-round with Fresh farm fruits and vegetables. With over 50 tonnes of vegetables exported on a weekly basis, Mara’s client list includes the largest retailers in Europe.

The company operates 2 farms on more than 1000 acres of farmland, employs over 700 employees and through outgrower programmes works with close to 1,000 smallholder farmers.  Mara is currently venturing in the local market as well, in order to provide the same high quality fresh vegetables and fruits (bare minimum to no use of chemicals and fertilizers) to a growing local clientele that places great importance in how the vegetables and fruits they consume are produced, handled, packaged and delivered.
