About
The Chisinau Construction College (hereinafter referred to as CCC) was founded, by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade No. 71297 of September 1, 1932, as a Special Technical-Industrial School. This initiative belonged to a group of engineers and teachers, including Leonid Comarniţchi and MN Karcevski, in response to the need for mid-level specialist staff. Those wishing to study at this private educational institution, which was located on Marele Voievod Mihai Street, No. 18 (former Izvor Street), had to pay the registration fee and the first installment of the school fee along with the application. The school had 4 departments: construction, milling, mechanics and radio electronics. On October 3, 1932, the first Teachers' Council took place, during which it was decided to form classes A – with 38 students and classes B – with 16 students. At the end of the first year of education, some changes occurred in the school's activity, establishing 3 sections: construction, electromechanics and surveying. Studies proceeded according to plan until 1940, when, with the worsening international situation, considering the possibility of mobilizing more teachers, the Minister of National Economy of Romania decided to suspend the activity at the end of June. Thus, on June 29, 1940, the last diploma exams took place, with 15 students taking them.
