The SOIB is the public body of the Government of the Balearic Islands that plans, manages and coordinates actions relating to employment policies.
The Employment Service of the Balearic Islands (SOIB) is an autonomous administrative body (created by Law 7/2000, of June 15) whose main purpose is to plan, manage and coordinate active employment policies. Its functions are to inform, guide and carry out intermediation in the labor market, promote employment in all its aspects and develop vocational training. Organically, it is attached to the Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy.
