PEAS Promoting Equality in African Schools

PEAS builds and runs secondary schools for young people in Uganda and Zambia that educate over 18,000 students each year. We partner with governments and other education partners to reach tens of thousands more (in 2023, we will be supporting over 90,000 students in government schools).

Following the school closures due to COVID, this is a critical time to support young people to make up for severe loss of learning. Qualitysecondary education will increase a child’s chances of growing up to have to more choices, more agency, more money, and a healthier and safer life.

Our innovative financial model means our schools at capacity will not rely on philanthropic funding as they will sustain themselves through low school fees and local income generating activities.
