Red Cross of Cape Verde (Cruz Vermelha de Cabo Verde)

Statutorily, the Cape Verde Red Cross is a voluntary aid institution, with legal personality, auxiliary to public authorities, in particular military health services.

Its mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering impartially and without any discrimination, including on the basis of nationality, race, sex, class, religion or political ideals. The National Red Cross Society carries out its mission in strict compliance with its Fundamental Principles, adopted unanimously at the 20th International Conference of the Red Cross in 1965.
