Northern University

Northern University was founded in 1996.

From the very beginning, the university adopted a unique mission: to organize higher education in the homeland of young Armenians who immigrated from the former Soviet republics, particularly Russia (hence the name of the university "Northern").

Northern University received its first accreditation, N013, in 2001 from the Ministry of
Higher Education of the Republic of Armenia. In 2015, it was granted institutional accreditation by the National Center for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education (NCQA) for a period of 2 years.
In 2018, it was reaccredited by the National Center for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education (NCQA) for a period of 4 years.
