Siemens is one of the world's largest manufacturers of energy-efficient technologies - a leading supplier of combined cycle power turbines for power generation, leading providers of power transmission and pioneering in infrastructure solutions, as well as automation and software solutions for the industry.
In the fiscal year 2017, which ended on 30 September 2017, revenue from regular operations amounted to a total of € 83 billion and net income from regular business € 6.2 billion.
The first Siemens branch office in Montenegro was opened in 2000, and since 2005, the branch office has been transformed into a limited liability company - Siemens doo Podgorica, which currently has 4 employees.
Siemens is present in Montenegro in all areas where it is an active home base, implementing a company's mission - the application of the most up-to-date and complete technological solutions that will enable raising the general standard to a higher level.
In the energy sector, Siemens has been successfully implementing several projects in recent years, such as the construction and reconstruction of key transformer stations in the transmission network. Soon one can expect completion of works on the construction project of the 400/110 kV Lastva transformer station, worth about 23 million euros.
When it comes to the development of the electro-distribution network in Montenegro, Siemens has been present with its innovative and modern solutions in continuity for a number of years. At present, Siemens equipment has more than half of the new transformer stations in the distribution network. From major facilities, during the previous years, the Siemens substation 35/10 kV Gorica, Rudeš, Trebjesa, Djurmani, Rozino, Porto Montenegro, Coal Mining, Klinci and Pržno were constructed.
In the course of 2017, works were completed on the project of connection of Krnovo wind power plant to the transmission network, worth about 13 million €, which included the construction of two 110/35 kV transformer stations and two 110 kV transmission lines. A similar project, ie the connection of the future transmitting power plant of Možura to the transmission network, started in November 2017.

For the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro AD, Siemens is carrying out works on the construction of the Trebjesica electrician substation, worth over € 3 million. This project is funded by the European Union from the IPA Regional Development Fund.
