Stadler has been domiciled in Bussnang since 1962. The headquarters of the Stadler Rail Group is also in Bussnang.

As an operative unit, this location is responsible for sales in Switzerland and for special vehicles and rack railways worldwide. The production facility at Bussnang is the competence center for the engineering and manufacture of the FLIRT, GTW and rack railways. Concepts for electric vehicles are also developed in Bussnang. A new commissioning center is being completed in Erlen (Switzerland), in which trains of up to 200 m in length can be commissioned.
