Ceredigion County Council

Ceredigion County Council is a unitary authority created in 1996 as a result of local government re-organisation. It covers an area of 180,500 hectares (696 square miles) and has a population of 73,000. It has responsibility for environmental health, housing, planning, highways, schools, libraries, recreational facilities, social services, local taxation and benefits, tourism and economic development, amongst other items.

Mae Cyngor Sir Ceredigion yn awdurdod unedol a grëwyd ym 1996 o ganlyniad i ad-drefnu llywodraeth leol. Mae'r sir yn ymestyn ar draws 180,500 hectar (696 o filltiroedd sgwâr) ac mae ganddi boblogaeth o 73,000.
