Řečany nad Labem is a municipality located in the Pardubice District, Pardubice Region, Czech Republic. As of January 1, 2024, it has a population of approximately 1,421 residents. The municipality consists of two parts: Řečany nad Labem and Labětín. It is situated about 7 km west of Přelouč, amidst fertile agricultural land. A notable landmark is the Romanesque Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, consecrated in 1165 by Bishop Daniel I of Prague in the presence of King Vladislav II and his wife Judith of Thuringia. In 1737, a document confirming this event was found in the altar .
