About
The Institute for Local Finance and Economy is a Foundation established in 2006 by the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) when, in implementation of the Decree of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of 22 November 2005, it succeeded the Anci-Cnc Consortium for local taxation, taking on all its legacy. Since then, IFEL has continued its role as an institution responsible for assisting Municipalities in matters of local finance and economy. In addition to becoming the reference techno-structure for the systematic collection, processing and dissemination of tax data, the Foundation operates as a research and training body through the production of studies, analyses and proposals for regulatory innovation aimed at satisfying the needs of Municipalities and citizens. Constant research and updating work, in contexts such as finance and local economy that undergo continuous changes and evolutions, characterizes the scientific activity on which IFEL's institutional commitment is focused.
