About
Jordan Empowerment (PVO 48/20) is a charity based voluntary organization working towards helping the under privileged group of people, orphans, children in vulnerable positions and the under privileged youths and women in the Midlands province.
Jordan Empowerment was registered in April 2021 after its birth from Jordan Orphanage Trust (JOT). The trust was registered on 7 March 2007.
Jordan Orphanage Trust was given permission to operate in Kwekwe District from the Provincial Administrator’s Office on 29 July 2010. JOT operated as a Community Based Organization (CBO) assisting orphans and other vulnerable children by paying school fees, buying school uniforms and other school items for them.
Between 2005 and 2007 Mrs. Mandava being the founding member of the Trust was paying fees for 10 pupils through the then mayor of the City of Kwekwe. In December 2007 25 orphans from Mbizo received the very first food hampers for Christmas. It was a whole exciting moment for the children since most lived in very difficult conditions, going for some days without descent meals.
