The Public Integrity Council is an independent public body that, since 2016, on the basis of Article 87 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges", assists the Higher Qualifications Commission for Judges (HCJC) in evaluating current judges and selecting candidates for the positions of judges.
The Public Integrity Council consists of twenty members who are elected for a two-year term.
