Gmina Chynów is a rural administrative district located in Grójec County, in the Masovian Voivodeship of east-central Poland. The commune covers an area of 137.07 km² and, as of 2006, had a population of 9,442 residents. Its seat is the village of Chynów, situated approximately 35 km south of Warsaw. The region is characterized by its proximity to the Warsaw metropolitan area, making it an attractive location for residential development and agriculture. Notably, Chynów lies within the "Grójeckie-Wareckie fruit-growing basin," one of Poland's most significant apple-producing regions.
