Foundation for Educational and Cultural Initiatives "Step by Step" - Macedonia supports the development of an open society by pursuing activities in the field of education, art, culture, publishing, as well as human (children's) rights and civil society. directly implements activities that promote innovation, progress and development of work in pre-schools and primary schools in the Republic of Macedonia.

The Foundation for Educational and Cultural Initiatives "Step by Step" - Macedonia was established as a non-governmental organization in order to continue the activities of the regional educational program "Step by Step", which started to be implemented in 1994 by the Open Society Institute a New York Society, and Georgetown University in Washington.

The Step by Step Foundation - Macedonia is part of the International Step By Step Association (ISSA) and with its action fully supports and follows the ISSA's international principles for achieving quality pedagogical practice.
