About

Founded in 2019, La Maida Project is a nonprofit organization addressing the mental health crisis by empowering organizations to adopt an ecological approach to healing that improves the mental health of their teams and those they serve.

We offer training and education for the workforce that increases health literacy, builds regulation and resiliency skills, and strengthens workplace relationships through the power of community and purpose.

Based on a proven clinical care model, LMP’s Ecological Approach asserts that mental health is best realized through a shift to culture, values, and practices that promote transformation and growth through the practice of connection – to self-agency, to community, to creative purpose, and to nature. LMP converts its ecological approach into real-world projects and programs that help our client organizations become mental health-supporting ecosystems.

Through in-depth experiential education and training, LMP works with an organization’s leaders and staff to shift their understanding of mental health and orient their organization towards the co-creation of health and resilience through an investment in shared values. These programs help nonprofit organizations embed principles and practices that lead to improved mental health and well-being outcomes for their teams and the communities they serve.

Our highly trained program facilitators provide accessible training accompanied by ongoing support so that learning integrates into organizational culture. Through these partnerships, we facilitate positive long-term outcomes.
