About
Between the Lines is a media and information literacy (MIL) association founded in 2010 by a journalist from Agence France-Presse (AFP) and a former journalist from Reuters.
In November 2016, the association signed a partnership agreement with AFP, the Ministry of National Education and Youth, and the Center for Media and Information Education (CLEMI). Le Monde joined this partnership six months later, in May 2017. Since then, the association has gradually expanded to include other titles in the Le Monde group (Courrier International, Télérama, La Vie, Le HuffPost), as well as Nouvel Obs and Contexte.
Entre les lignes now relies on a network of more than 270 volunteer journalists from these editorial offices to lead its workshops throughout France and abroad. Each year, we conduct several hundred workshops, reaching thousands of young people. Since June 2020, Entre les lignes has been accredited by the Ministry of National Education.
