Careth Foundation

The CarEth Foundation broadly supports grassroots community organizing, civic and human rights, democratic institutions, rule of law, and social justice in the United States and around the world. 

This is a modest, private funder that like’s to build long-term, established partnerships with its grantees, which means its funding space is crowded. New grantees rarely get noticed given the foundation’s dedication to supporting its previous grantees for multiple cycles. The foundation also does not accept requests for funding given it’s all volunteer board. It’s grants, however, come with no stipulations, which help organizations in a variety of ways. To get on their radar, reach out and briefly introduce your foundation’s work, but keep in mind that it will be hard to get through since the organization is run by volunteers, mostly family members. Another approach here is to network with the foundation’s previous grantees to see if you can get an introduction that way.
