PIADO - Pastoralist In Action Development Organization

Pastoralist In Action Development (PIADO) is a local non-profit civil society organization (CSO) established in July 2019 under the Ethiopian Federal Civil Society Organization. PIADO operates primarily in the Somali and Oromia regions of Ethiopia, with a vision centered on promoting hope, tolerance, and social justice. The organization seeks to improve livelihoods, education, essential health, and social services for marginalized communities, with a particular focus on women and girls. PIADO primarily provides relief programs for internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by drought and conflict, as well as other individuals in need. Its focus areas include education, nutrition and food security, human rights and democracy, protection and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), gender equality, child protection, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihoods for youth and women, environmental protection, and broader humanitarian responses.
