Nway Htwe Eain

Nway Htwe Eain (NHE) is a community-based organization established on January 16, 2006, in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, during a meeting of individuals living with HIV at Médecins du Monde (MDM). NHE provides essential health education, social support, educational assistance, and healthcare services to people living with HIV and their families. Additionally, NHE assists individuals in regaining their health and becoming self-reliant. NHE facilitates the sharing of HIV-related knowledge among peers and the broader community, aiming to reduce discrimination and promote health and social well-being. Currently, NHE collaborates with nine Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Hlaing Tharyar, Insein, Mingaladon, East Dagon, Dagon Seikkan, North Dagon, and Hmawbi townships. Furthermore, NHE partners with organizations such as the Myanmar Positive Group (MPG), the Royal Rainbow Network (SWiM), the Kumudra Social Development Association (Myanmar MSM and TGW Network – MMTN), the Myanmar Youth Stars (MYS), the National Drug Users Network Myanmar (NDNM), and the Myanmar Positive Women Network (MPWN) to carry out its activities.
