About
Sala Forest is the first “ sustainable business planting ” company in Thailand. It aims to spark and drive public discourse on sustainable business in Thailand through seminars, trainings, workshops, media production, print and online, research on key sustainability issues in Thailand, and measurement of social impact and social return on investment. Sala Forest was founded in July 2013 by Srinee Achavanantakul, an independent academic, writer and translator who has published over 50 books , along with Pattaraporn Yarburgh (Yaemlaor), a marketer and social entrepreneur, and former organizer of the Global Social Venture Competition (SVC) in Southeast Asia on behalf of Thammasat University, and five like-minded researchers to transform Thai business society into a truly sustainable development.
Sal Forest is Thailand's first “sustainable business accelerator.” Founded in July 2013, we aim to jumpstart and sustain a public discourse on sustainable business via events, print and online media, as well as conducting research on important sustainability issues in Thailand and social impact assessment.
The company was co-founded by Sarinee Achavanuntakul, a prolific author and translator who has written and translated over 50 books, and Pattraporn Yerburgh (Yamla-or), marketer and social businesswoman who co-founded the Southeast Asia round of Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) while working at Thammasat Business School. Both founders have since joined forces with 5 like-minded individuals. The team is ready to take part in transitioning Thailand's business environment towards authentic sustainable development.
