Trade and Development Bank (TDB)

The Trade and Development Bank (TDB) is a multilateral financial institution established in 1985, originally known as the PTA Bank. It is owned by member states of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), along with institutional investors and non-African partners. Headquartered in Bujumbura, Burundi, with regional offices in Nairobi, Addis Ababa, and Harare, TDB provides trade finance, project finance, and investment banking services to support economic growth and regional integration across its member countries.

In Sudan, TDB operates a branch that extends its services to local businesses and government projects. The branch focuses on trade financing, development capital, and investment solutions, helping Sudanese clients access regional and international markets.
