About

We deliver community-based tutoring programmes to primary school pupils from low-income, migrant and refugee backgrounds living in social housing, providing vital access to educational support to those who need it most. Our work increases attainment in core subjects, while also boosting pupils’ confidence, resilience, and independence in learning, ensuring our beneficiaries successfully enter secondary school literate, numerate, and with a strong foundation of soft skills to support their long-term success.

We do this by employing and training inspiring university students – most of whom also come from low-income households – to deliver after school small group tuition in core subjects using our specially devised curriculum, designed by expert teachers. Alongside offering meaningful, paid work experience, our tutors receive ongoing training, targeted development opportunities and purposeful connection-building designed to support their transition into employment post-graduation.
