Hydro Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd was established in the year 2017, against a background where most communities (cities, towns, growth points, schools, etc.) were struggling with water and wastewater / sanitation service delivery, most smallholder irrigation schemes were either defunct, or operating below capacity, and load shedding of electricity had left most citizens hopeless, in hyperinflationary environments which were threatening livelihoods. A number of communities in African towns and cities remain vulnerable to diseases such as cholera and typhoid. The adverse impacts of water scarcity affect women and children mostly.

Water, road and building infrastructure development, rehabilitation and maintenance, has been adversely affected by the economic challenges faced by many countries in the region.

This is the setting that inspired the establishment of Hydro Engineering Services Pvt Ltd, to support all interventions by the responsible quasi government institutions, the donor community and central governments to attenuate adverse impacts to vulnerable communities and the nation at large.

The Company therefore comprises senior consultants mostly, with experience in excess of twenty years in the various engineering facets.

Its consultants have been involved in institutional capacity building of various organisations working in collaboration with donor communities and central governments of different Southern African States.

The experience ranges from research, planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of infrastructure. These activities, up to construction put into consideration the need to lower operation and maintenance costs through the participation and capacity building of the beneficiaries and the use of technology appropriate for the different settings.

Hydro Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd is also a supplier of materials, equipment and accessories for the engineering industry.
