Nomadic Heritage Aid (NHA) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to improving the livelihoods of marginalized and pastoralist communities in Kenya, particularly in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions. The organization focuses on education, sustainable natural resource management, climate resilience, livelihoods, governance, and social entrepreneurship.

Key Focus Areas:

  1. Sustainable Natural Resource Management – Advocating for biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and policy reforms in rangeland and water management.

  2. Climate Resilience – Empowering communities through climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy, and disaster preparedness.

Current Initiatives:

  • Tech Skills Development Hub in North Eastern Polytechnic (Garissa) – A pilot project aimed at equipping students with data science, analytics, AI essentials, and full-stack development skills.

  • Garissa High School STEM Initiative – Addressing the lack of equipped computer labs and promoting STEM education to bridge the technology gap for students in ASAL regions.
