The Bangladesh Association of Consulting Engineers (BACE) was established in 1975 as a legally recognized non-profit professional organization to support the nation's consulting industry's institutional growth.
An appointed Executive Council consisting of representatives of the member companies is responsible for running the Association. Only until a firm has proven to the Council that it is properly qualified and acts independently of contractors and suppliers will it be allowed to join BACE.
BACE belongs to the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is an associated organization of FIDIC, ASPAC, and TCDPAP.
Each member firm has a separate registration as a consultant with several international, regional, and national development organizations. The Association adheres to the fundamental principles and requirements of the FIDIC-established professional code of conduct.
