Pan Africa Association of Small & Medium Industries -PAOSMI

PAOSMI, is a Pan-African organization dedicated to boosting the global competitiveness of small and medium industries (SMIs). Representing over fifty national and regional networks across fifteen industrial sectors, PAOSMI acts as the unified voice for SMIs. With a presence across the continent, including a secretariat, regional offices, country chapters, and affiliate networks/partners. The association admits those in manufacturing, processing, mining, and service industries.

PAOSMI champions structured industrialization to drive economic development and transformation. We facilitate, promote, and catalyze industrial development by focusing on value addition to raw materials and leveraging a knowledge-driven ecosystem of science, technology, & innovation (STI). This aligns with key African development frameworks like AIDA, AfCFTA, BIAT, AMV, Agenda 2063, and the SDGs.

Recognizing that SMIs vital to Africa's economy often struggle with isolation and uncompetitive practices, PAOSMI bridges this gap. We provide support through policy advocacy, fostering innovative ecosystems, offering technical training, and building resilience. PAOSMI engages a wide range of stakeholders, from SMI associations and governments to development partners and financial institutions, to drive African industrialization.
Registered in Kigali, Rwanda (registration number 122075267), as a company limited by guarantee, PAOSMI offers ordinary, affiliate, and institutional memberships.
