Woro Community Transformation Aid (WCTA) is a voluntary non-profit-making Organization that works towards empowering and transforming vulnerable communities through Sustainable Livelihood, Community Health and Quality Education in order to live in a healthy environment so as to become economically empowered for better lives. It was founded on Thursday 14th March 2024 by distinguished individuals who had experience in working with vulnerable communities both in Settlements and Hosts Communities in West Nile for more than a decade and were scholars of Education, and Community services. Their understanding of the challenges faced by the Local communities as being part of them provided the impetus to seek local solutions in order to adequately address them.

The Organization is registered with Arua City Local Government and Uganda Registration Bureau Services, a member of Arua City NGO Forum, and West Nile Humanitarian Platform. Since its inception, the Organization has worked with vulnerable communities, particularly the youth, women, Refugee Population and Local Government structures in West Nile to transform vulnerable communities into a healthy, economically empowered and self-sustained society. Based in Arua City Uganda, WCTA works with vulnerable groups and partners across the country to support communities to live better lives.
