About

HISTORY OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
The A. Aileu Youth Center was born from a small group in the village of Hudi, Aisirimou sub-district, Aileu municipality, called FOSCACA (Aisirimou Aileu Catholic Youth Chapel), which was established on March 14, 2008 with its activity of bringing together young people in the Aisirimou sub-district. sugar, making sweets to sell as a great source of income for youth groups to help some of their members who are unable to continue their studies in high school and university until they finish. In addition, there are also programs for English courses, cooking, suku hena, pig farming, Timorese poultry farming, fish farming and training of other NGOs and religious leaders. These activities went very well and were supported by a total of 25 members of the center, 10 women and 15 men, aged between 16 and 35. The above mentioned programs were carried out by all members who worked voluntarily only from 2008 to 2010. Sports First (SEJD) came to do an evaluation at the FOSCACA center and recommended that SEJD get support from SEJD through operational funds so far. Seeing that the demand for the Aileu Youth program began to grow and advance, the FOSCACA group, which previously carried out activities only for the village of Aisirimou, transformed itself into a youth center in the municipality of Aileu in 2016 to carry out all activities and programs for all the youth of Aileu, in accordance with the five-year action plan from 2020 to 2025.
