Lazord Foundation supports youth through nonprofit and civic leadership engagement programs across the MENA region.

Lazord is the Arabic name for the stone Lapiz Lazughli, a blue stone speckled with gold found across the Arab region. In Ancient Egypt the stone was considered to be a stone of king’s court. In modern Arab history, the Arabic word for the stone was forgotten though the stone remained a treasure of the region. Youth in many ways can be compared to this stone because they are full of passion, creativity, and the desire to create a sustainable future.
