About

The Center for Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery (CKTCH) Brno is a state-funded organization under the direct authority of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. It provides highly specialized healthcare including:

- diagnostics and surgical treatment of cardiovascular diseases, - diagnostics and heart, liver and kidney transplantation and post-transplant patient monitoring,

- organ harvesting for transplantation purposes.

In these fields, the institute participates in scientific research programs and cooperates with the Faculty of Medicine of MU on undergraduate and doctoral studies. As an accredited workplace, it provides education and further training in cardiac surgery, organ transplantation and in interdisciplinary fields.
