GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation

The GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation Inc was created in 2007 and brings together industry, donors, the international development community and civil society in demonstrating the positive social impact of mobile technology. It provides resources and support to GSMA programs in the vital areas of healthcare, agriculture, finance, digital identity, utilities and the inclusion of women and girls in the digital economy. The Foundation identifies opportunities to foster connected societies, accelerate the mobile money ecosystem, and develop mobile identification and also work to stimulate the development of scalable, life enhancing mobile services with the maximum social and economic impact.
