Scelles Foundation

The Scelles Foundation believes that prostitution is an attack on the human rights to equality and dignity. Their members share the conviction that every person should be able to live without having to turn to prostitution. With abolitionist principles, the Foundation campaigns against the exploitation of prostituted people, notably in the category of human trafficking. They believe that through education, prevention, awareness, and the suppression of violence against prostituted people, a global movement can emerge. Sexual exploitation abuses weakened people because of many reasons including economic vulnerability, poverty, gender inequality, racism, the failure of a migration project, social and political volatility due to conflict in some countries, physical and moral violence, and also social or family problems.
