The International Club of Schlitzohren was founded in 1979 by Werner Bungert from Mülheim and other merchants who were active all over the world. The Club provides support to individual children who need help, be it through food and clothing or surgery. It provides small and large grant amounts for projects that guarantee children education or medical care and enable them cultural and social development. The Club also assists to build schools, medical care centers, nutritional projects, orphanages, kindergartens, disabled workshops or hospice facilities.
