Manipal Foundation

The Manipal Foundation, a charitable arm of the Manipal Group was formed in 2002. The Foundation has been providing funding support for social initiatives since it’s inception. They started with the provision of scholarships at the Manipal University in 2002 and expanded their support to the entire Bangalore area in 2007. Today, their programmatic focus areas for funding are healthcare, education and vocational skill training, livelihood activities, women empowerment and  the environment. The Foundation also runs a ‘Transformation for Action’ p program (TrAc), which is a program to engage students in social action by providing an opportunity to learn, contribute and create in collaboration with existing social organisations in India.
