Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas (MCFA)

Founded in 1992, the mission of the Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas (MCFA) is to promote environmental causes throughout the Americas in the broadest sense, which encompasses both the physical and social environments. Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas-supported programs are geographically limited to the Americas. Their average annual budget for grants is app. $300,000 and grants range from $30,000-$300,000. MCFA also makes a small number of Program Related Investments (PRIs) (i.e. $300,000 to Root Capital, a non-profit social investment fund that is pioneering finance for grassroots businesses in rural areas in developing countries).
